Social Programs

  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
Eastside sponsors several community events on a quarterly basis designed to bring the community together to address key issues that impact families, neighborhoods, faith-based and community based systems, as well as public institutions.
  • HEALTHY MARRIAGE INITIATIVE
Our healthy marriage program is one of our signature projects which is funded by a grant made possible by the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families. This project is geared toward building another layer of Eastside’s capacity to serve the community. We have been able to send our staff persons, and our community partners to training to learn more about how to better serve marriages, families and children in our communities. We know that the bedrock of any healthy and vibrant community begins with a healthy family system, and this includes having a firm understanding of what couples need as they grow in their lives together as a married couple.

Eastside's Healthy Marriage Alliance is working with community leaders to promote the healthy marriage message throughout Hampton Roads. Check us out at the Regional Conference in February. Check this website for more exciting details.
